Red Nose Day Dolls: The final stretch

After a mind-boggling number of hours of crafting by our truly stupendous handmade team the ebay auctions of the Red Nose Day Dolls and their trousseaux went live a few days ago. This is so exciting for everyone involved.

*drumroll* here they are:

Maisie :::  Mac  :::  Poppy :::   Blossom

The amount they have raised already is utterly amazing. The auctions will end around 9pm this coming Sunday, 17th March so do keep a watch out.

We have also set up a sponsorship page.

Every single £5 is absolutely invaluable: £5 can buy a mosquito net. It is such a simple piece of equipment but it really can save a life:

Of course, £5 could buy a vaccine, some seeds, a set of mixing bowls for a bakery or supplies for a school - there are innumerable ways in which even this small amount could help......It would be wonderful if you sponsor us by £5 and spread the word.

A GARGANTUAN HANDMADE THANKYOU to every one of our crafters, every person who has posted on their blog, on facebook and on Twitter and of course everyone who has placed a bid or donated. We're all holding our breaths over the next few days......

P.S. The dolls made it onto the TELEVISION!! Graham Norton's Big Chat - a chat show marathon aired last Thursday night - mentioned the auction and showed a picture of Mac and Poppy. It's still available on iplayer - around 32 minutes in (in the UK only though, I'm afraid). Here's is Poppy watching herself on the telly.

..and the Guardian published an article I wrote too! Lummy.
