Winter is dead

She wore her yellow sun bonnet,
She wore her golden gown.

She turned to the South wind,
And curtsied up and down.

She turned to the sunlight,
And shook her yellow head

And whispered to her neighbour,
'Winter is dead.'

Daffadowndilly, A A Milne

These are the first daffodils I've seen this year. I spotted them on the verge near an unassuming bridge over the A14. It's hard to describe how happy they have made me.
